Flight performance and planning
Once you have received reports and forecasts for the weather, you must assess
the weather situation. Does the forecast suggest that you can comply with the
minima throughout the planned flight, or should you perhaps start a little later
or change the route slightly?
Perhaps you should abandon the trip altogether that day.
If you have the slightest doubt about whether the weather is good enough for
you, you should refrain from flying.
If the weather forecast is in order, you can continue with your planning.
7.9.1.2 Map
So, you need a map.
- For flights in Denmark, we use ICAO map Denmark 1:500,000
- Copenhagen and Roskilde TMA however ICAO map Copenhagen Area
1:250,000.
You should consider whether there is certain information that you may need to
use along the way; are these on the map, or do you have to find them elsewhere
before starting the flight? However, the ICAO map Denmark has the vast
majority of the necessary information.
