Aircraft general knowledge

More about that in the Navigation subject, where there is a special section on

                radio navigation.

The horizontal needle shows whether we are on the glide path for landing. If the

pointer is above the middle, we are too low on the approach.

The two pointers can guide us to landing if we fly IFR, but the plane is only

approved for VFR, so we don't. However, we are allowed to rely on instruments

                during flight.

                8.12.10.3 EFIS

The latest in instruments and equipment for the plane is EFIS (Electronic Flight

                Instrument System).

                There are 2 large screens:

                  - a PFD (Primary Flight Display) with a display of our primary flight

instruments, air speed indicator, altimeter and vertical speed indicator. In

addition, our artificial horizon and direction indicator.

                  - an MFD (Multi Function Display) with a display of engine monitoring

                      instruments and navigation instruments, etc.

All instruments are integrated on the PFD display. On the MFD display there are

maps from GPS and maps of airports.
