                Example:


                You are flying from A to B.


                The grey arc indicates your track.

                Track is measured in relation to a meridian

                in the middle of the route. Track measured

                from TN is called True track (TT)


                Track out from MN (red arc) is called magnetic track MT.




                Here  you  can  see  the  terms  used  in

                aviation  for  magnetic  north  (MN)  and

                geographic / true north (TN) as well as

                the (common) compass directions.




                Since  the  magnetic  north  pole,  as

                previously  mentioned,  is  constantly

                changing  position  in  relation  to

                geographic north, word pole, this means, among other things, that the variation
                in Denmark changes by time.





                In  Denmark,  the  variation
                                        o
                has been around 0-2 E for

                many years.




                The variation has therefore

                not     previously       been
                something        we      have

                counted  on  a  daily  basis

                here at home.
