                feet above terrain.

                9.5    Direction description



                The direction from one point on the earth's surface to another point is usually

                given in relation to True North (TN). It can also be another direction.

                The direction is called the reference direction.


                In practice, however, we fly according to magnetic values with reference to the

                magnetic north pole, since we have a compass in the aircraft that refers to the

                magnetic pole.




                9.5.1    Reference direction


                The  direction  is  measured  as  the  angle  that  is  right  between  the  chosen

                reference  direction  and  the  direction  in  which  we  must  move  to  get  to  the

                desired point.
