In addition, a lot of information is also given on the back of the chart that is useful
or even indispensable to know in connection with the execution of the flight.
All this information makes the chart extremely useful both for planning a route
and for orienting yourself during the flight.
Below you can see a small section of the chart (Karup's control zone and TMA +
surroundings). Only the most important information is explained.
Among the most important information that can be read on the ICAO chart are,
for example:
- Restricted areas, control zones in connection with airports
- All national and international airports
o radio frequency
o runway length
o altitude above sea level (MSL)
- Radio beacons (vor and locator), with indication of
o name
o frequency - and in the case of the VOR, a compass rose
