9.11.3.4 Distribution of work in the cockpit

                If there are several people

on the plane, it can be an

                advantage to distribute the

                workload among them. The
                distribution must of course

                be done in the most

                appropriate way, so that

you do what you do best.

It will always be a matter of discretion, but you could imagine that one person is

responsible for radio communication, while another takes care of navigation.

If you are alone on the plane, it is very important that you have made clear

before starting the flight what you want to say/do when, so that you are not
suddenly surprised and perhaps are getting disorientated.

For example, before calling the control unit, you should make it clear whether
you are following the route, or where you are.

You should make clear what you want to say and have paper and pen ready so

that you are ready to write down the information and instructions you receive.

In good time before arriving at the destination airport, you should familiarize

yourself with the airport; this could be, for example, the airport's radio frequency

or the elevation of the runway.
