From The Principal's Desk

Each issue of our college magazine is a milestone that marks our
growth, unfolds our imaginations, and gives life to our thoughts and
aspirations. It unleashes a wide spectrum of creative skills ranging
from writing to editing and even in designing the magazine.

But 2019 being the Golden Jubilee year of IHM, Lucknow, the
Editorial Board has decided to bring out the annual publication with
a different name.

Manthan-2019 is a perfect blend of creative thinking, art,
knowledge and wisdom which vibrates in the inner soul of various
stake holders. It is natural to find in this ambience, the intensive use
of variety of thinking activities, strategies and group dynamics to
make this issue interesting and thought provoking.

Established as Food Craft Institute in 1969, IHM Lucknow has
undergone many changes, since its inception but one thing which
has not changed is the product of IHM, Lucknow. Today the alumni
of IHM Lucknow professionally managing many challenging assignments on very high positions be it Hotels,
Fast Food, Tours & Travels, Retails, BPOs, MNCs, Hospitality Academics and other service sectors. This
became possible because of a very high standard of academics as Hospitality Education is not an act of acquiring
knowledge but learning a skill to lead life and forming one's personality. This is an ennobling process of growth. I
can boldly say that IHM, Lucknow has excelled in every initiative that it undertook.

As an alumni and now Principal I can say we have stood together in facing the challenges in realizing quality
education.

“Success comes to those who work hard and stays with those, who don't rest on the laurels of the past.” The world
today is changing at such an accelerated rate and we need to pause and reflect on this entire system of Education.

I congratulate the entire editorial team for their effort in bringing out this magazine in a very innovative way.
