                  Business That Is Socially Responsible

I do not see any sense in life without helping those in need.
Since 2007 I  have been taking part in the projects aiding the
abandoned children. You could often see me in the Pediatric
Oncology and Hematology Department of the Kaluga Regional
Hospital in Annenki. We bought medicines, paid the nurses, held
masterclasses to entertain the kids. Now I am a mentor for Dima
Kazachenko, student of the Azarsky orphanage.
When we were opening our shopping mall, one of our main
tasks was to create a socially responsible business. I am proud to
say that we have succeeded. All the staff got inspired and regu-
larly participates in the aid programs. We started to support the
charity program “Generation Choice” and other projects helping
with career guidance projects that are available in our city. We
have been assisting in holding and organizing intellectual games
that give the opportunity to the orphanage graduates to acquire
the skills needed for getting a profession, we are trying to help
the guys with employment. For instance, during these summer
holidays a student of the Kondorovsky orphanage, Pavel Valuev,
worked with us in the position of a maintenance worker.
We hope that next year we will be able to provide the kids
with some other vacancies as well. We have been helping the
families with low income, since the most important issue is to
keep the family together and to prevent a child transfer to an
orphanage. Last year we helped to arrange an apartment for the
temporary stay for women and kids who found themselves in
a hard situation. Now we are monitoring a family from the vil-
lage Duminichi in Kaluga region. This family cannot provide ac-
ceptable conditions for their kid. We are helping them with the
apartment renovation, thus maintaining the family and making
              the kid’s life more comfortable.
I am glad that I have managed to infect all the staff to partici-
pate in volunteer programs. I believe volunteer aid is an impor-
tant activity in which everyone of us can take part.
