Master P has had one of the longest and successful runs in the rap game. After establishing No Limit,
the music mogul dabbled into other fields such as sports and film. His life story is undoubtedly one that
should be told.
The movie will highlight the Ice Cream Man’s early childhood, through adulthood, as he built his music
empire No Limit Records.
The “King Of The South” project has added A-list writer, Tyger Williams. Williams is known for writing
the infamous hit movie “Menace To Society”.
The southern Hip Hop mogul and entrepreneur has never shied away from sharing his journey from the
Calliope Projects to Forbes, selling over 100 million records independently and being the only Hip Hop
artist to play professional basketball in the NBA.
Travis Jones of ENT Hollywood says, “The King Of The South has the potential to be just as big or bigger
than Straight Outta Compton, with Lionsgate backing this project and Tyger Williams as the writer. The
timing is right to tell a Master P story, there has not been a southern Hip Hop Rap artist life bio pic told
on the big screen.”
The No Limit Colonel is preparing to release I Got Da Hook-Up 2 later in the year. The film stars DC
Young Fly, John Witherspoon, Anthony Johnson, Fatboy SSE, Michael Blackson and Master P’s son
Romeo Miller.
The No Limit mastermind also appears in the movie, while
both Miller and Master P are in the role of producer.
