Plate 1 Modified nematode larval culture: (A) Weigh required amount of feaces. (B) In a wide mouth cup
put an inch of vermiculite and layer the feces on top. (C) Mix it by moistening with water (0.1% Sodium
carbonate solution will prevent mould growth during incubation). (D) Create a hole in the middle to increase
aeration to culture. (E) Place a rolled-up paper towel on the rim and use a petri dish as a lid to cover the
cup. Incubate at room temperature for 10-14 days. Periodically moisten the culture. (F) on final day of
incubation fill the culture with warm water. Place the Petri dish on top and make sure no large air bubbles
trapped under the lid. (G) carefully invert the cup and pour lukewarm tap water into Petri dish and leave at
room temperature for 4 h. (H) Suck the fluid from the Petri dish, concentrate by sedimentation or centrifu-
