                 Q : Does the Chief Executive serve the shareholder, the

                 customer or himself?


                 A :  Both of the chairman/chief executive partnerships -  Sir

                 Reo/Andros and Sir Lewis/David  - display autocratic

                 management characteristics.  However, in the case of Sir
                 Lewis and David it is evident that they were capable of

                 changing their approach as circumstances changed.  They

                 allowed the organisation to breathe and develop.  They

                 recognised that their primary responsibility was to the
                 shareholders.  Paradoxically the Stakis family, with its 25
