Q : Is there any evidence of strategic management
ingredient?
A : In the period up to 1991 no clear evidence of a
strategic management ingredient in the business can be
found. Resources were not directed at supporting new
and developing businesses. In the post 1991 period the
company is managed as a portfolio of businesses each at a
different stage in its life cycle and each requiring different
resource inputs.
