Structure
Even in this initial assessment the study of the
organisation structure of Stakis cannot be divorced from
the study of the key players in the company. The
organisation charts below identify these key players. The
organisational developments recorded should related to
the changing nature of the business - the growth in the
number of hotels, the increases in staff numbers, the rise
in turnover etc. Thereafter, the chronology of events
should be set against the changes in the earnings per
share (EPS). The outcome is a critical event pattern.
A : Reo/Andros ORGANISATIONAL STRUCTURE
Stakis Plc was a family owned business. It expanded over
the years to become a hotel and leisure company involved
in casinos, hotels, restaurants, pubs, discos, property and
finance. In 1988 there were four divisions, each with its
own headquarters, a board and a managing director who
sat on the main board. The Group Head Office acted as a
treasury for the divisions by determining profit plans and
setting borrowing levels.
