The Costings
Meeting 21st February
Jim brought up the issue of Litan's e-mail request for Jim to amend the
letter to the Indian minister he had so urgently requested the week
before. Jim had amended the letter but was unable to fax it as the fax
numbers he had been given were in fact telephone numbers.
Litan responded that he had taken care of it and all had gone well.
Jim then, once again, broached the subject of costing saying that if
three units had been sold then there must be some costing especially if
the components were bought- in off the shelf? Litan said that he had
already sent the costing in an earlier e-mail but would check and re-
send if necessary.
Jim put the view that Litan had to legitimise the patents as well as the
articles and memorandum of association in order to protect the
interests of the directors and investors. Litan agreed and said that Jim
should arrange to pursue these issues with the specialist business
lawyer Jim's lawyer had recommended. Jim then told him that he
already had a meeting set-up with the lawyer for Tuesday, 1st March
and perhaps they should meet then? Litan thought this was fine.
Post Meeting Work
Working on the business plan required information which Jim did not
have. Having checked his e-mails he could find no indication of a
costing list. So once again, Jim asked for details on the costing by e-
mail
When Jim returned after his work trip on the 27th February there was
still no communication from Litan so he sent another e-mail
