At Litan's insistence Jim proceeded with the development of the web
site and on 28th January sent an giving the address of the web site he
had set up with e-mail account and telephone number. Litan
responded that the site was fine but could Jim up-date information in
it?
Meeting 2: 17/01/2011
After some discussion Litan agreed that a business plan was
necessary but said that he already had one that he would give to Jim.
This he did the next day.
Litan's business plan:
After reading Litan's business plan Jim got back to Litan and told him
that it was a start but needed to be rebuilt and developed if it were to
provide the foundation for attracting potential investment. Litan asked if
Jim could have the plan ready within two weeks? To this Jim said NO!
It was impossible without complete information which up to this point
Litan had not given Jim.
Nevertheless, the following outline business plan was developed to
submit eventually to prospective investor once the appropriate
information had been developed:
Over the next 10 days a series of e-mails were sent by Litan to
populate the web site. However, Jim had some unease with the path
these were taking. Instead of there being one scientist there appeared
to be three all of whom were to be included on the web site with
appropriate titles. For example, Litan sent an suggesting a number of
staff titles for Jim to incorporate into the web site.
On the second of February a letter addressed to the company arrived
from Companies House which explained that the attempt to
incorporate Euro Advanced Technology Solutions could not proceed
because the documentation had been filled-in incorrectly and would
have to be re-done. This was followed-up with an from Litan
requesting that the forms be posted to him.
