Litan called Jim to ask why he had taken the title of counsellor on the
web site and not 'Head of Operations in Europe'. Jim replied that
although he was willing to help set up the company he did not wish to
be a director until he had sorted out the legal implications for his other
businesses. Jim asked why Litan had submitted the registration of the
company without talking to him first. His response was that he had to
get it done as quickly as possible. Jim pointed out that he had failed to
indicate the number and type of shares the company would issue and
had failed to give the name and address of the company secretary. He
had though split the shareholding 85% to himself and 15% to the lead
scientist. Jim suggested that before he submits the documentation
again that he should show it to Jim first. Litan agreed.
Litan then said that two machines had already been sold and a third
machine was being dispatched at the end of the following week and
asked if Jim could design a logo for the company as the third machine
needed to have the company logo on its side before it was sent out the
following week. Jim asked where the machine was being sold and
Litan said Azerbaijan but he would talk about this at their next meeting.
Jim worked-up a simple logo and e-mailed it to Litan
