APRIL FOOL

Once some friends challenged a boy to go into a haunted house. As he rang the bell, he heard
some scary noises. The door was half open and as he pushed the door he could hear squeaking
noises. He felt scared but did not quit and kept walking inside the house. It was dark and he
pulled his torch from the bag. He turned on the torchlight to help him find his way. As he was
quite scared, the torch fell from his hand and torchlight turned off. He could see ray of light
coming through the window. Just when he was about to get up, he noticed a shadow. Though
he was very scared, he gathered his courage and followed the shadow. Suddenly the shadow
disappeared. He kept on walking in the dark and lost his way. He then turned on the torch-
light and as he looked around he noticed it was a study room. The fan in the room was full of
cob webs and it appeared the fan would fall any time. To avoid getting hit by the falling fan,
he moved away. He could see bats flying around in the room. He suddenly heard somebody
touching him from behind. Without turning back, he ran in the dark shouting Ghost!!Ghost!...
He was so frightened that his whole body started to shiver and just as he opened the door
there was a bright light and he could see his friends. He breathed a sigh of relief as he saw
them and all his friends said “April fool”. Suddenly he tripped over something and fell down.
He opened his eyes and he found himself beneath the bed. He said to himself “Thank God, it
            was just a dream”.

Once there lived a pretty girl and her name was Preethi. She always loved to dance and she
would go to classical dance classes. She also had a liking for singing. Her mother Pranavi
did dream to become a dancer, but because she had no support from her family she had to
drop the idea. She had wished her daughter to learn dancing, and Preethi who also loved
dancing had full support from her family to pursue her liking.
Preethi was progressing well in her dancing and had performed many solo and group pro-
grammes. Preethi’s dance teacher would always tell that Preethi was the best dancer in her
class. Preethi had a small clash in her routine as she had to learn both dancing and singing
together with her studies. But she managed these well and grew up in age and in her level
of dancing. She started dancing from 1 grade and now she is in 11 grade and it shows
                                                       st
                                                                                     th
that she did not miss any of her classes. Even if she had fever she would insist on going to
her dance classes. On the academic front, she would get the award of ‘The Student of the
             Year.’
One day her teacher asked “What do you want to become when you grow up?” This made
her think and finally realised that she wanted to become a Professional Dancer. She loved
dancing and she wanted to teach dancing and singing to others as well. And the funniest
thing was that she was so excited about the idea that she gave a name to her dance school
as ‘NRITYODAYA.’ With many years of consistent efforts, she was able to excel in her final
year of dance exam and had passed with flying colours. Now she is happily working as a
Dance Teacher along with her studies, which is all because of her true love to dance and her
strong and consistent will to complete it till the end. She has also made her mother
             immensely happy.
