TOUR TO ZURICH, GENEVA (VISIT TO CERN),

                                  PARIS AND LONDON

               I
recollect the amazing experience we all had in Zurich, Geneva,
Paris and London as part of the school trip to Europe. We all
gathered early in the evening at the curb side of Kempegowda
International airport, anxious and excited to start our tour.

We landed in Switzerland and checked into Hotel Movenpick. Then
we started for the city tour of Zurich city, a home to a large number of financial institu-
tions and banking giants. The chilly air was refreshing and snow covered mountains
were a sight seen to be believed.

The next day went on a long drive to Mount Titlis. The ride up in cable car was a unique
experience and gave a vantage point to appreciate the snow cover on the mountain
steeps and peaks near and far. A real wow moment! We all had lot of fun in the snow till
the point of exhaustion and felt on top of the world.
Next in our itinerary was Geneva, Headquarters of many UN organizations in Europe
and the Red Cross. Sleek, slick and cosmopolitan, Geneva is a rare breed of a city: it's
among Europe's priciest, its people chatter in every language under the sun and it's con-
stantly perceived as the Swiss capital (though it isn't). Superbly strung around the
shores of Europe's largest Alpine lake, this is only Switzerland's third-largest city. We
arrived in Geneva and the first thing that we did was have lunch in an Indian restau-
rant. Then there was a post lunch visit to CERN- French "Conseil Européen pour la Re-
cherche Nucléaire (European Organization for Nuclear Research) is
a European research organization that operates the largest particle physics laboratory
in the world. Once inside, we all got engrossed in the presentation which was very inter-
               esting.
We went on a chocolate tour to the Cailler Chocolate Factory in Broc and learnt about
the entire process of making chocolates. Then we were on our way to Paris, a long 7.5
hours drive through lovely and scenic views of the countryside
The journey to Paris , the city of lights ,architecture and fashion was a fascinating one.
We admired the Iron laced Magnificent structure in the world -the Eiffel tower.

We took The Euro star train to London which travels underneath the sea bed across the
English Channel. There we visited the Madam Tussaud wax museum and saw all of our
favorite celebrities and moved on for some shopping. Then we visited the Charlie and
               the chocolate factory musical.
With great fervor we visited the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) factory. I could n’t enjoy to
the fullest as I fell sick in between. But I soon regained health .We visited the Arsenal
Football stadium. We saw all the changing rooms and the field. Later on, we visited the
Harry Potter studios that evening and it was amazing.
We thoroughly enjoyed the tour around London city and shopping .We went back to the
hotel and we had to face the worst part “PACKING OUR BAGS”.

We boarded the flight to Bangalore with a treasure chest of sweet memories and eager
to narrate the enchanting experiences of our fantastic trip to our parents.
