             Classroom Management


             CBSE conducted a two day workshop on19 & 20 of
             October  on  Class  room  Management  at  DPSBN.
             The  workshop  was  conducted  by  Dr.Vasanthi
             Thiagarajan    (Principal,   Sishya   School)   and
             Ms.Poorna  Durachi (Vice Principal, Ashok Leyland
             School).  The  session  emphasised  on  effective
             classroom    management,      student    motivation,
             seating   arrangement     of  children;  providing
             children  with  a  convivial  learning  environment,
             positive and     negative reinforcements across all
             segments.  These  and      other  related  topics  were
             brainstormed  by  thirty-six  odd  teachers  who  had
             come from different schools of Bangalore.


             Anti-bullying                                             Together we can achieve more

             A workshop on Anti bullying was held on 22nd October 2016 at Delhi Public School, North.
             The  prime  objective  of  this  session  was  to  sensitize  children  and  teachers  on  the  need  to
             handle such issues through Continuous Consistent  Conversations. It also aimed at the need
             to  understand  the  dynamics  of  power  and  bullying,  types  of  bullying  and  the  effect  of
             bullying  on  a  person’s self-esteem.  An  interactive  session    on  how to  recognize  and  invent
             strategies for prevention of bullying was also held.


              NCERT Workshop on NROER



              NCERT conducted a four day training programme from 4  April 2016-7  April 2016 on the

              development of e-resources for teaching-learning at school level. A team from NCERT under
              the able guidance of Ms. Anuradha Mathur, trained around twenty teachers in developing
              e-resources for NROER (National Repository of Open Educational Resources). The teachers
              got  hands-on  training  in  creating  Time  line,  Mind  Map  using  the  software  Free  plane,
              Lesson Plan and Scripting for Digital Story telling.
              The  teachers  also  learnt  to  form  MCQs  using  the
              software Hot Potatoes.

              The  mentors  taught  us  how  images  and  videos
              should be extracted from open resources keeping the
              e-copyright laws in mind. At the end of the training
              programme all the groups of teachers presented the
              e-resources  that  they  had  created  with  the  help  of
              the  CIET  (Central  Institute  of    Educational
              Technology) team.

              This  Instructional  Design  for  development  of
              e-content  was  truly  an  enriching  and  challenging
              learning for one and all.
