Trinity Mission Men
Who’s that?
Any guy, young or not so young, who would be interested in some fun filled fellowship,
helping others, serving the community, and sharing Christ’s kindness with others. So you
are invited to our next gathering.
Pancake Breakfast
March 9 at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall at Trinity. It’s an Irish theme.
So we’ll eat a bit of the green, play an Irish pong for a pot of gold,
chat about what matters to Trinity. We are in need of a team
leader for our building and grounds team, any ideas? Also do you
know of any member who may need some help at home in
getting ready for spring (it will come one day J). Hope you can
join us. RSVP at church or at tmm@trinitydurand.com.
Cancelled Stamp Ministry Continues
The cancelled stamp ministry has been a long time mission by the congregation of Trinity. In
2012 we started sending the cancelled stamps to Sisters of Holy Cross (Notre Dame, IN) for
their stamp program ministry. In this stamp ministry, dealers, groups, and individuals buy the
donated stamps which benefit the Sister’s “Ministry with the Poor” fund.
This past January, at the cost of $8.30, a box stuffed with 2 lb. 3.5 oz of stamps were sent to
Sisters of Holy Cross. I will continue to send cancelled stamps to the Sisters if Trinity mem-
bers and friends wish to collect them. To help with the stamp ministry, cut the stamp from the
envelope leaving at least ¼” on each side of the stamp. Stamps that are too heavily cancelled,
torn, or whose perforations are not intact cannot be used. The most valuable stamps are:
In mint (un-canceled) or fine/very fine condition Foreign stamps
U.S. commemorative stamps Printing errors mistakes
Stamps with postage values of $1 or more Albums
The stamps have already been purchased so there is NO COST to you
to save, cut out, and bring in these stamps. You may give your
cancelled stamps to Louise. And thank you for your help.
