and let’s share…it’s going to be a while before we can gather. And yes, there will be technical glitches
          along the way.

What have you learned during this pandemic? Shannon is beginning a series in the Traveler asking two

questions. This month council and staff were asked: “What is something good that has happened in
your life while the stay-at-home order is in place and what are you most looking forward to when it is

          over?”

I will answer the first question: I’ve found things I took for granted and at times grumbled about…such
as grocery shopping, to be welcome breaks as I so crave and hope to see a familiar ‘masked-face’ dur-

ing essential weekly trips to the store. I realize the importance and need for face to face relationships.

As I see the shelves somewhat bare in the grocery stores, I’ve become more empathetic of those who
do not have enough food, who shop with a very limited budget trying to stretch their funds to feed their
families. I may have to change one of our planned meals because I couldn’t get a needed ingredient; but

how difficult for parents to constantly worry if they can purchase all they need as the price of eggs sky-
rocket and they’re limited to only one gallon of milk per visit. The stay at home orders have made me
realize how much I cherish relationships and have greater empathy for those who do not have enough

resources to purchase food for their families.

I am so thankful for Trinity’s Blessing Box ministry, the Durand Ecumenical Council’s food and gas
vouchers, and our Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) ministry. I’m seeing the need with new

awareness. I pray we continue with our ministries and am thankful for your support. As a side note, we
still have CSA subscriptions available. Please let your family and friends know. You can still drop off do-

nated items for our Blessing Boxes outside the church front door as the boxes are usually checked daily.
The CSA proceeds help support the purchase of items for our Blessing Boxes and ELCA World Hunger.

Please continue taking really good care of yourselves and reach out if there is anything we can help

with. it will be awhile before we can worship together at Trinity.

I leave you with two Bible verses to ponder. What are your favorite Bible verses for these challenging
          times?

“Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my

yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your
souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden in light.” Matthew 11:28-30

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, pre-
sent your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your

hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7

Jesus Christ is Risen! He is risen indeed! God’s peace on your day!
