tions during the resistance in front of the home of their bosses
Umit Somuncu and Mustafa Umut Somuncu while attempting
to talk to them about what they owed the workers.
When they got inside the factory the workers found that a lot
of the materials had been removed, while others had been packed
ready for removal. The bosses announced when actions started in
front of the factory that they were bankrupt but the bailiffs did
not believe that a firm that had turned a high profit could go bank-
rupt in a day. Somuncu the boss sold off the factory building.
When the workers received no positive response they occupied
the factory on 28 June.

“This Is A Product Of The Kazova Resistance”
Ayca Soylemez
The Kazova workers have carried out their first production
in the factory. The clothes have lbels with the words “We started
to look at one another when we saw the spirit of the Gezi resist-
ance. We are looking at you, do you see us?”
The Kazova workers have carried over their resistance into
the clothing they produce. The Kazova textile factory was closed
seven months ago and 94 workers were not given wages or com-
pensation.
The bosses Umit Somuncu and Mustafa Umut Somuncu
emptied out the factory in a night and made themselves scarce.
