from there and this allowed us to concentrate our minds a bit.
With every day we became more like workers, our anger at the sys-
tem grew and we became more aware of our own strength. We
would take charge of our own production.
While there was still no more news from our bosses, our peo-
ple showed great interest in how we would raise money from sell-
ing sweaters at the forums and use this to repair our machines.
Visits to us increased and we even had visits from foreigners.
Among them were members of the European Parliament, and our
solidarity from journalists, students and trade unionists increased.
We were not aware of it but we were overcoming the past, and we
grew stronger with different actions.
Metin Yegin suggested holding a fashion parade. This was
the first time there had been such a thing resulting from a factory
occupation, and even the
media that had preferred to
show penguin documentaries
silent during the June uprising
showed interest. The bour-
geois media started to make
news about the Kazova resist-
ance. So we prepared the first
fashion parade of its kind in
the world and we gained posi-
tive support from all our
friends.
