one hand we had to restart production. We are workers and to
live without producing means death to us.
We decided to organise a large-scale Kazova dinner as a way
of raising the money for machines. Of course this would be a dif-
ficult period but we had to do it.
We immediately started preparations. We printed tickets and
prepared posters. We began to sell the tickets and after a month’s
hard work we held a very good Kazova night. Over 2,000 people
took part in the concert with a meal. And we collected money to
establish our most beautiful workshop. We would get our ma-
chines and begin production. Once again we saw people’s solidar-
ity and the strength of solidarity before our eyes.
Later we started looking for a workshop location. In the
meantime, the shop rent and so on had started to go well beyond
our budget and we decided we preferred to sell in our place of pro-
duction and closed the shop.
At the start we kept a small workshop in Bayrampasa. We set
up machines so we could quickly go over to production. Our place
was small but we were able to produce. In time we would make it
bigger.
We established our place with enthusiasm. We started pro-
duction. We produced our first sweaters. We had a lot of ideas
about things to produce. We made bags, we produced socks. We
were not dependent on sweaters. The details of production works,
expenditure and so on gradually became established. A short while
after starting production we decided to make May 29, 2015 the
