The strength of resistance was that it resolved every kind of prob-
lem and overcame every obstacle, and then proceeded to grow. Re-
sistance is its own propaganda. The resistance of the Kazova
workers did not remain an unheard voice. Both inside and outside
the country, the voice of the Kazova worker started to be heard.
Even the magazine of the American monopolies, Forbes, felt com-

pelled to do an interview with the workers.

On the holiday they wanted the prime minister to hear their
voices by making a statement in front of his house in Uskudar.
But before they had got 100 metres from the factory the police ar-
rested them. They got out of the bus they were in, started to walk
and the police arrested them.

It was not just the police who attacked the workers. Bailiffs,
other creditors, Bedas teams, ISKI teams were also in the queue
to attack them. Three times Bedas came to cut the electricity.
Moreover, the pretexts for cutting the electricity was an electricity
bill that was due. But they had not wanted the bill paid for 10
months. But the moment the workers started to go into produc-
tion for themselves, Bedas teams sprang into action to cut the elec-
tricity. The Kazova factory also used a meter for the water it used.
The card had to be fully charged for the water to be used. Before
the money was paid, after the water could be used. But despite

this the ISKI team came to the factory in order to read the water
meter.

During the resistance the workers held firm to their demands.
They wanted the full amount due them for their labour. The re-
sistance lasted a long time. Within this resistance they continued
to learn. They tried to get the machines working so as to enter
