Recently the trade unions have not created any resistance, not
even unsuccessful resistance. Trade union leaders do not even
dream of creating resistance. But now there has been a jump in
resistance. The Kazova resistance has taken a leap forward. The
Kazova workers will be their own boss, and they will engage in pro-
duction for themselves. They are taking this step. Henceforth they

will be more confident in themselves. Because their resistance is
the resistance of the people. Our people have laid claim to the Ka-
zova resistance. This resistance is felt in people’s hearts. This sup-
port will gradually grow. The Kazova workers will show that this
confidence and support by our people is not futile. The Kazova
workers will engage in good-quality and inexpensive production
for our people. The Kazova workers will establish a cooperative

which will be like a model school, both in terms of production
and in terms of safety precautions, as well as in terms of earnings
and being a centre of art and culture.

In this resistance the DIH is a model to follow for the workers
from the point of view of both its viewpoint and its practice in
the class struggle. The DIH has the historical honour of adding
the Kazova resistance as a first time occurrence in the history of
Turkey, and it will continue to build up new acts of resistance and

to be their vanguard.

The victory of the Kazova resistance is the herald of new vic-
tories.

The DIH is on the side of all workers who have been thrown
out of work by their bosses and have had their rights taken away,
whether they are organised or unorganised workers. All workers,
whatever their province, whatever the sector they may work in,
