sweaters were in good order. Moreover, the debts of the company
were much less than material assets and what was owed to them.
But the debt in wages and compensation to the workers amounted
to 4 million TL. An amount of money that would suffice to estab-
lish a new business enterprise. It is very likely that the Somuncu
family took what they owed to the workers, along with the ma-
chines, raw materials and produced sweaters, in order to depart
and engage in capital trading. They turned over the latest model,
new technology and valuable machinery to a firm called NES
TRIKO situated in an adjoining building. NES TRIKO was
started at the end of November 2012, it was closed at the start of
February 2013. On paper everything conformed to the law.
The firm called NES TRIKO was registered for tax with Ab-
dulkadir Nergis as the owner of the firm. At the start of February,
he applied to the tax department and the tax records were erased.
The taxes were declared and probably paid. But this is not the
truth. It is an avoidance of the truth. This shell company was again
one that belonged to the Somuncu family. Kazova had reached
such an agreement 20 years earlier with Somuncu and torn down
the wall there. A section of Kazova’s machines were located there.
Here part of Kazova had been situated for 20 years and had con-
tinued production. Here, while Kazova continued, there was no
toilet, office or canteen. Last November the boss Somuncu had
collected a part of the workers and separated off their work, saying
that to save himself from debts the tax registration of machines
was going to be changed and 12 of the workers would be put there.
Moreover, while these 12 were here they would resign from Ka-
zova. That is, on paper they would lose their seniority and notice
