Accappella Sounds Chorus (continued)

The summer seemed to fly by with backyard sectionals and parties to keep us in the mood to get back on the
risers in September and prepare for Christmas! As part of our ongoing membership drive and our love of
community participation, we invited anyone who was interested to participate in our Christmas Concert
Tutorial. We had 11 people join us for 7 weeks to learn 2 songs from our holiday repertoire and then to sing
with us on stage during our Christmas concert in November. It was a lot of work! It was a lot of fun! And it
th
was a performance like no other! Our first performance was on November 26 since the great shut down,
and we came off the stage feeling energized, confident and with a thirst for more! We had one more
performance for the Montreal Lakeshore University Woman’s Club to end out the holiday season and
finished the year with a celebration before the Christmas break.

With the new year to look forward too, we have welcomed back Tracey Larder as our director and are
excited to continue on the risers with her! Knowing that we have plenty of preparing to do for our
performance at this years Regional Competition in the open division and having planned for several
th
educational coaching experiences in the following months, we are retuning to rehearsals on January 5 with
passion and zeal!
