Cranberry Shores Chorus
As 2022 comes to a close, our chorus had a sudden flurry of activity. It is always a challenge to get new
members on Cape Cod – we are an isolated area with a limited pool of potential candidates. So, we hosted
a new members open house in late October and were thrilled when 8 women showed interest. We are in
the process of auditioning a couple of them and hopefully will add to our numbers for 2023. Also, two of
our members hosted a table at the Nauset Newcomers Club in the attempt to attract more members.
As is past years, we had a blast entertaining the people of Cape Cod for the holidays. From village strolls
to an indoor performance at a local church, we were warmly welcomed and our music was appreciated
everywhere we went. And we were thrilled when our newest member, Kristin Stahley, focused her
energies on our holiday repertoire and was able to sing with us.
Finally we were invited by our local NPR
radio station , WCAI, to submit a couple
of recorded songs for a special holiday
program. It was a lovely hour of
entertainment by local talent and we were
proud to be included.
Soon we will start a new year. We have
some great coaching lined up to get us
ready for 2023 performances and the
Region 1 Sweet Adelines Competition.
