EASY HOT FUDGE SAUCE

This recipe for fudge sauce has been in our family for years. My mother used to
make it and keep leftovers in a canning jar in the refrigerator. It would last until
we got hungry for vanilla ice cream and hot fudge sauce—sometimes as long as
a week. It is nice warmed and spooned over Hot Fudge Spumoni Ice Cream
Cakes (page 47).
MAKES 3 CUPS, ENOUGH TO SPOON OVER 20 TO 22
