When they visited the Cowpens National
Battlefield, Cowpens Elementary School
fourth graders learned about the pivotal role
the Battle of Cowpens played during the
Revolutionary War.
Cowpens Elementary School
As a STEM activity, students in Cowpens Elementary
School Kindergarten classes used apples and
toothpicks to make apple rafts. They then tested
them to see if they would float in water.
Students at Cowpens
Elementary School enjoyed a
week of activities in observance
of Red Ribbon Week. On
Wednesday, they dressed in
mismatched clothes to show that
they would not let drugs mix
them up.
Fifth graders at Cowpens Elementary School worked in
teams to make earthquake-proof structures. When they
were completed, they tested them on an earthquake
simulator.
Kindergarten students at Cowpens
Elementary School learned about
farm animals and crops during their
trip to Strawberry Hill.
