Daniel Morgan Technology Center
Students celebrated National School Lunch week with
a taste testing event at Cannons Elementary School.
Daniel Morgan Technology Center Culinary Arts
completer, Christina “Faith” Horton, assisted fifth
grade students in measuring and folding techniques
to assemble Cranberry Apple Chicken
Salad. Students learned a new way to enjoy local
apples.
Preston Goode is a first-year welding student at Daniel
Morgan Technology Center. He is beginning to learn
SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) E7018 in a 1F
position (flat). This is called a bead building process.
The Blood Connection visited Daniel Morgan Technology
Center on October 13, 2017. Many students donated blood
throughout the school day to help others. DMTC would like
to thank all that participated and the health science
department for hosting the drive.
Sports Medicine I students, at Daniel Morgan
Technology Center, are reviewing body fractures
and the proper methods for splinting them. Nikki
Ridgeway demonstrated how to use the basic
SAM splints to the more advanced vacuum
splints. She also explained how situations and
budgets affect the method used on patients.
First year graphics & printing students at Daniel
Morgan Technology Center used Adobe Illustrator
to create a design, that they are screen printing on
an apron, using a rotary screen press.
