STEM / Manufacturing
Precision Tool Technology students learn how to set up and
operate standard machines to shape metal according to blueprint
specifications. Equipment used include the following: lathes,
mills, band saws, and measuring instruments. Students will gain
knowledge in blueprint reading, precision measuring equipment
operation, and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) equipment.
This program can offer a pathway to a rewarding career with
excellent earning potential. It is offered as a year-long course to
better equip the students with the skills that they will need to join
the workforce. This program prepares students who wish to pursue
degrees in Precision Tool Technology, Mechatronics, Advanced
Manufacturing, and the Automotive Industries.

(Prerequisite: Grade of 70 or higher in Precision Tool I. or teacher
recommendation to advance to level II)
