Mental Health & Addictions Summary
SJHC: Services include: child & adolescent inpatient unit, adult inpatient and outpatient, PICU, and
emergency services unit.
SMH: The Mental Health and Addictions service provides care and support for patients with serious
mental illness, addictions and complex medical needs. Services provided, in collaboration with the
community, include inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric emergency, ambulatory mental health, child and
adolescent care, community mental health, multiple addictions services, medical psychiatry, and a
Supporting Transitions and Recovery (STAR) service.
