Inpatient (HIG):

• Differences in top 5 HIG groups across sites with SMH performing large volumes of Percutaneous Coronary
Intervention with MI/Shock/Arrest/Heart Failure (HIG #175) and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention without
MI/Shock/Arrest/Heart Failure (HIG #176)

• 67% of out of hospital procedures for SJHC inpatient cardiology cases were performed at SMH

Outpatient (ON CACS):
• 55% of SMH’s cardiology activity is performed in an outpatient setting (cardiac cath lab) with a focus on
coronary angiography (C206)

• SMH performs significantly more outpatient procedures compared to SJHC
