• Gynaecology volumes have decreased by
5% in Ontario; inpatient volumes have
decreased by 1% at SJHC and 21% at

SMH which corresponds with the shift to
Day Surgery.

• SJHC and SMH both make up 2% of
Ontario market share respectively.

• As a proportion of inpatient volumes,
Gynaecology makes up 2% of SJHC and
SMH activity.

• This service includes a mix of urgent and elective admissions in which differences exist across sites.
SJHC has 30% urgent and 70% elective while SMH has 20% urgent and 80% elective admissions.

• Top volumes are derived from TC LHIN patients; followed by Central and Mississauga Halton.
