YOUR LEGACY STARTS HERE

egacy Mortgage Group opened doors on Feb 8th, 2020 becoming an independent Mortgage
Centre Canada Franchise on May 20, 2020. The pandemic humbled our business; however, we
stayed focused on our core values; making financing easy, consistently striving to educate our
L peers, customers, and employees, 100% ownership of all relationships, working for what matters,
making it fun, and commitment to community. These values are the pillars that our brokerage rests on,
and we have built a team of fifteen diverse, talented, and professional employees over the last 18 months.
Our focus and objective when hiring team members has always been one of cultivating a positive,
As a Schedule 1 bank, our reverse mortgage options are safe and secure giving our clients
customer centered, work environment. Each hire has become a cultural co-founder alongside us and
the freedom to take control of their finances and retire in the home they love. With a range of
champions the brand that is Legacy Mortgage Group. Building vibrancy in the office through diversity
products including CHIP Reverse Mortgage, CHIP Max, CHIP Open and Income Advantage,
and equality, we have celebrated small and big achievements for all our employees.
our wide variety of solutions are designed to suit our client’s specific needs. I encourage
Alberta has been subject to regional disparities throughout the lending landscape in recent years,
Canadians to contact their mortgage professional and learn more about the CHIP Reverse
however, our team has leveraged technology to deliver to an exceptional customer experience to
Mortgage solution − it has provided financial security for so many.
every client every time. This focus on technology has allowed us to grow our referral business. We
leverage the use of active and passive CRMs; we have invested over 800 hours of time capital to
construct digital workflows that drive value for our brokers, our clients, and our referral sources. This
investment has allowed our broker team to increase productivity while at the same time enhancing
our customer journey. Despite the low forecast for Alberta’s economic landscape, our young brokerage
was able to acquire top tier status with a number of the lenders we have direct service agreements with.
Our technology has been at the center of allowing our broker team to manage more ‘deals,’ while allowing
management to focus on growth and scale.
Outside of having a physical office space, and hiring and recruiting brokers, we recognized that
support can sometimes be a misnomer in the mortgage industry. We wanted to develop long term,
permanent resources for our mortgage broker team. To that end we hired an Operations Manager, a Client
Relationship Coordinator, and a Mortgage Sales Team Lead. Scale was crucial to providing the support
that our brokers required, while growing the brokerage’s presence within our submarkets. Our Operations
Manager focusses on building and deepening relationships with our business development managers across
all different lender lines, consistently educating our customers through social media (LinkedIn, Facebook,
and Instagram), and building our brand and reputation. The mortgage sales team lead focusses on hiring,
recruiting, coaching, and developing broker business; with smart goals to ensure brokers are growing their
respective businesses and exceeding targets. Our client relationship coordinator manages our passive CRM
          and office administrative duties.
Commitment to community, another one of our core values, took our brokerage down the path of aligning
ourselves with the Alberta Council of Women’s Shelters. During our holiday campaign in 2020, we were
fortunate to have the opportunity to donated capital to ACWS on behalf of our key partners in the builder
and realtor space. This was a great way to bring recognition to the impactful work that ACWS offers the
community, and highlights a basic need which often gets taken for granted, shelter. This cause is important to
          everyone at the brokerage, and we continue to grow our contributions and partnership with this organization;
not only contributing capital, but also raising awareness within our community and industry.
Being new in the mortgage industry, opening doors only two weeks before a worldwide pandemic, we
have had to pivot our business numerous times. We have stayed true to our values during these trying
times, focused on excellent customer service, and stayed at the forefront of technology and scale to grow our
business. This daily renewed focus, and the hard work of the entire team, has been the key contributor to our
growth and presence within our marketplace. We look to continue to implement new strategies to be leaders
in our industry, while driving business with integrity.
