Tippecanoe County Demographic Information: Based on survey respondents, 93 percent of people in Tippeca-
noe are white, 4 percent black, 1 percent Asian, 1 percent multinational, and 1 percent Native American. Six percent
are preschoolers, 15 percent are five to seventeen, 24 percent are college age (18-24), 25 percent are young adults (25-
44), 20 percent are older adults (45 to 64), and 10 percent are seniors (65 and older). Sixty-eight percent are married,
23 percent are single, and 9 percent co-habitate. Of the responders, 94 percent lived in Tippecanoe County. Sixty per-
cent lived in Lafayette, 29 percent in West Lafayette, 5 percent in outside the city limits, 5 percent lived in contiguous
