tumor (7.01%) and astrocytoma (5.61%) presented in order of frequency. There
are 132 (61.97%), 38 (17.84%) and 35 (16.43%) patients registered with
Universal Coverage system (UC) , Civil Servant Medical Benefit Scheme and
Social Security Fund respectively. The native habitat of these patients were
Bangkok and its vicinity area 75 (35.55%), Central region 53 (25.12%), Eastern
region 30 (14.22%), North eastern region 19 (9%), Northern region 15 (7.11%),
Western region 11 (5.21%) and Southern region 8 (3.79%)
Conclusion: Meningioma was the most common diagnosed tumors in Prasat
Neurological Institute, followed by pituitary adenoma and schwannoma,
respectively. The patients mostly came from Bangkok and its vicinity area, and
were in Universal Coverage System. The larger scale brain tumors registry
performing collaboratively with 8 tertiary care centers is in progression.
