6. Read a section from a book with speech, e.g. the first page of ‘Charlotte’s
Web’ by EB White, ISBN 0-14-030185-2.
7. Remind the children of the importance of using speech marks in writing to
show the reader which words are spoken words. Remind them also of the
comma after the person’s name.
8. Let the children complete the worksheet or write some sentences on given
themes using speech marks.
