 Further practice on punctuation

Way to Work (Means)

1. Review previous lessons.

2. Have a short passage written on the board for the children to punctuate as a class.

3. Let them try to add in the punctuation on the worksheet or, alternatively, to write a

short story or play using conversation. Remind the children to use alternative words
to ‘said’ wherever possible.

4. Gather back to share.

1. The children should be more confident in using punctuation in their writing.
