SINGULAR AND PLURAL PRONOUNS
Truth to Teach (Source)
Some pronouns are singular and some are plural.
Other pronouns are myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves,
themselves
Way to Work (Means)
1. Review previous lessons.
2. Ask the children to suggest which pronouns they think are singular and which
are plural.
Singular: - I, me, my, mine, you, your (singular), yours, he, him, his, she, her,
hers, it, its
Plural: - we, our, us, ours, you, yours (plural), they, them, their, theirs
3. Write the remaining pronouns on the board: -
myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, yourselves, themselves
Put these in the singular and plural categories.
4. Let the children consolidate their learning by completing the worksheet.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. The children should be able to recognise and use a wide range of pronouns.
2. They should be able to distinguish between singular and plural pronouns.
