To establish that God makes all things in a creative way and that He
makes them move in interesting ways.

Way to Work (Means)

1. Dramatise the account of God creating living creatures from
Genesis 1, drawing attention to the movement words, and the spheres
of movement (sea, air and land). Notice how God is full of great ideas

and how He loves variety. Notice also His desire to fill the areas He
had created with life and movement.

2. Why do rabbits hop and birds fly, etc.? [essentially to get food;
to find a mate; to find shelter; for protection]

3. Why do I move? [as above, but also for fun; to serve God and
others (work); to explore God’s world]

4. Worksheet activity, and take some time to give thanks to God.

Learning for Life (Fulfilment)

The children will have reviewed the creation story and should begin to
appreciate God’s wisdom in creating us to move in so many different ways.
