ANIMAL MOVEMENT
Truth to Teach (Source)
Heart concept
Psalm 104:24 ‘How many are your works, 0 Lord. In wisdom
you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures’
Creation is incredible, beautiful, interesting, varied and detailed, and
calls forth our praise at the wisdom and power of God the Creator.
Other concepts
1. Living creatures move; some are able to move fast, others only very
slowly.
2. Movement is necessary for survival: for procuring food and for
protection.
3. God has designed the co-ordination of the moving parts in creatures’
bodies e.g. the working partnership between bones and muscles.
Learning for Life (Fulfilment)
1. For the children to admire and worship God the Creator as they
study one aspect of creation.
2. For the children to recognise the Kingdom principle of teamwork
exemplified in the co-ordination of parts of the body, and to be
encouraged to emulate this in their lives.
3. For the children to learn more about movement in animals and to
be encouraged to follow up their personal interest in particular
creatures by finding out more information themselves.
