 Kings and queens come and go but Jesus’ reign is eternal.

        Way to Work (Means)

            1. Review the first lesson.

             2. Show a picture of each of the monarchs in turn over the two lessons. Explain that the
kings and queens of the period had much more power to rule the country than our
                present monarch has today.

Let the children gather information by taking notes in the lessons when certain
details of the monarchs’ lives are shared as below or from books. The children could
then fill in the blank table on monarchs provided.

Alternatively, the children could conduct their own research using books, information
sheets or the Internet to produce a short account of one or more monarchs under the
                following headings:-

                      Birth and parents

                      Years the monarch ruled
 Person(s) they married, if they did marry
 Children they had, if any

                      Hobbies
                      Their character/distinguishing traits
                      Other points of interest
