DORSET OPEN FOURS
DORSET OPEN FOURS
After their success last time at the Open Fours
Tournament held at Dorset Golf & Bowls Resort
Sidford SMBC sent the same team of Evan &
Bev Williams and Colin & Pam Palmer to the
Dorset Open Fours Tournament. players from
several counties were present and the event
was over two days.
At the end of day one Sidford were in third
place one point behind the leaders from Hutton
and on a lower shots difference behind the second place team also from Hutton. Day two saw
some mighty battles and with only one game to go 6 teams still had a chance of winning the
title. By the end of the day Sidford had fought back to win the title and bring the trophy back to
Devon, with the two teams from Hutton taking second and third places.
A Heads & Tails fun event was held and the money raised was to be donated to the Dis-
abled Bowling Association. A great time was had by all and many thanks to the organisers
Larry, Reg, Sandy & Joyce for all the hard work in running it and for the Dorset Golf & Bowls
Resort for allowing it to be held there.
