From 8 - 2 up after five ends the Scots
never looked back and even added a six
on the tenth end.
In the second round the Scots four
then found themselves in trouble against
and England four still stinging from their
opening round defeat. The Scots were 2 -
9 down after seven of the twelve ends and
Premier Fours winners thing almost looked hopeless.

ends got them level at 9 all with just the last
end to play but the English quartet managed a two to win 11 - 9.
Meanwhile, the Welsh team were inflicting yet another defeat on an out of sorts Irish four.
The Irish were 7 - 5 up after five ends but eight shots over the next four ends gave Wales an 11 -
7 lead and they went on to win14 - 11, putting themselves into the driving seat for the champi-
onship.
In the third and final round the Welsh four with their tails up were in unstoppable form romping
home 23 - against Scotland, giving them un unbeaten run to the Fours Championship title. In the
other game Ireland saved their blushes with a close 10 - 8 victory over England ensuring they did
win one game.

The team championships comprise each country playing for rinks, playing each other twice over
the Championship weekend, with each match relying on the shots totals of the four rinks.. The
opening round saw Ireland Playing Scotland and England playing Wales.
