Probably because of the inclement weather there were fewer
participants in this year’s competition. A random draw took
place to determine the Pairs teams allocated between two
groups, with the top two teams from each group proceeding to
a semi-finals knockout stage.
Each of the six teams in the group stage won one match
and lost one, with the semi finalists being determined by shot
difference. Overall shot differences were tight varying between
Winners +4 and -4. In the end the Winners were Terry Clifford and Chris
Terry Clifford & Chris Allen Allen, with the Runners Up being Jenny Gibbs and Rachel
Skye Wesson

I am looking for some DECENT second hand Mats, either Short Mat
or Carpet Bowls mats to help new clubs develop their sport both in
England and possibly abroad.
I will pay for the carpets and donate them to whoever, so be-
tween us all we will try to help our sport grow. Nothing too expensive
please as the magazine funds only go so far but genuinely reason-
able carpets and I will try to pick them up.
The more people who play our sport both abroad and in
the UK, the better it looks for us in the UK as a whole.
