Disabilities Series

               The Diversity Committee hosts a series of disability related CLE seminars.

               The session titled Social Security: Overview of the Law, Operating Terms and Procedure was held
               on October 25, 2019 at the Louisiana Bar Center and featured the following speakers:
               Monica Ferraro, Worker’s Compensation, LLC, Metairie, LA
               Suzette Tagesen Murphy, Worker’s Compensation, LLC, Metairie, LA

               The second session was not held due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

               Women’s Personal and Professional Development Workshop Series

               The session titled “Becoming Your Best Self: Take Command, Be Empowered, and Own Your
               Future” was held in conjunction with LSBA Annual meeting on June 3, 2019 at Sandestin Golf
               and Beach Resort, Destin, FL.

               The seminar featured the following speakers:

               Deidre D. Robert, Southern University System, Baton Rouge, LA, Moderator
               Jade A. Brown-Russell, Attorney at Law, Gretna, LA
               Linda P. Clark, Kean Miller, LLP, Baton Rouge, LA

               Future” was held in conjunction with the LSBA Midyear meeting on January 16, 2020 at the
               Renaissance Baton Rouge Hotel.

               Black History CLE Seminar
               The LSBA's Diversity Committee’s Pipeline to Diversity and Outreach Subcommittee hosts a CLE
               seminar in celebration of Black History Month. The seminar is co-hosted by Adams and Reese
               LLP.

               The CLE seminar was held on February 13, 2020 at Adams and Reese LLP in Baton Rouge, LA.
               The session titled The Right to Vote featured the following speaker:
