Gr a de Eig h t Twas the night of Halloween, cold and dark, with the sound of football in the air.
Tackles, touchdowns, turnovers, and tailgates...traditions tried and true
It is t ime for Halloween, The bleachers were filled with all different types, their identities unknown.
t he most scariest t ime of t he year. Costumes that could fright under the lights, some florid, gory, and gruesome
Everyone is gat hering all of t he t reat s for t he children. There sat one lonely soul with a heart like coal, rancorous eyes that sent shivers.
All houses in t he t own are creat ively decorat ed. He stared right through me with no emotion, my body filled with quivers.
Time is get t ing closer, children get t ing more excit ed. His shadow behind me as I walked away, paranoia filled my head
Would he follow me home, drain my blood, and would I end up dead?
It is t ime for Halloween. A vampire perhaps, parched, and ready to devour me slowly
All of t he children have t heir cost umes on Time to run and escape his evil clutches, faster than him I must be
ready t o go out . Two blocks to go, branches in the wind are crackling and creepy
It is dark and st ormy, Street lights are flickering, I can?t see the road, I?m becoming weepy
but not hing can st op t he excit ed children. My house straight ahead, sweaty hands can?t hold my keys, they slip away
Impetuous am I as I crash through my window, my blood on the floor
More and more candy, filling up t he Halloween bags. I pray his dark shadow cannot break through my door.
More and more people going out and t rick-or-t reat ing. Stumbling up the stairs, I zoom to my room, and hide under my bed.
Trees blowing and t he colorful leaves falling Silent and shaking, I hear him no more, was it all in my head?
The most excit ing t ime of t he whole year, Halloween. Daylight has come, I feel so relieved, that shadow is no more, or so I believed?
The lat er is get s, t he colder it becomes.
The wind st art s blows 1000 miles an hour
as everyone st art s t o head home.
Trick-or-Treat ers look over t he candy t hey received
and parent s finally relax.
The day is over,
but everyone is already looking forward t o next year.
